Queenstown's Absolute Waterfront Bed & Breakfast
We are a bit tricky to find, but that's part of our lakefront charm...
Rainbows' Edge is situated on the Frankton Arm of Lake Wakatipu, just a couple of minutes drive from Queenstown and a ten minute drive from the airport. We are on a service road, off the Frankton Rd just metres from Lake Wakatipu.
This service road is 4.5 kms from the Frankton roundabout. It forms a loop off and onto the main Frankton Road. Travelling from the Frankton roundabout/Airport towards town, make a left hand turn at the neon signs* for 'THE POINT APARTMENTS' and 'VILLA DEL LAGO', then a hard left so that you are heading back towards Frankton on the service road. Keep heading towards Frankton over the paved section to the unpaved section.
You should now be able to see the Rainbows' Edge sign, partially obscured by our brown letterbox. Veer right down our driveway and you have safely arrived!
* this is where the speed limit sign changes from 70kpm to 50kpm. Or if you are approaching from town, the turn off is where the road speed limit changes from 50kph to 70kph.
