Rainbows' Edge
Queenstown's Absolute Waterfront Bed & Breakfast

Welcome to breakfast at Rainbows' Edge.

"When you wake up in the morning, Pooh", said Piglet at last, "what's the first thing you say to yourself?"

"What's for breakfast?" said Pooh. "What do you say, Piglet?"

"I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?" said Piglet.

Pooh nodded thoughtfully. "It's the same thing," he said.

At Rainbows' Edge, Breakfast is an event - something we talk about the night before.

Each evening Fred will present you with his specials for the next day. Usually there are two different choices that reflect the season. Everything is fresh and whenever possible, locally produced.

If the specials aren't you - bacon and eggs are the fall back position. They are always on the menu: - poached, scrambled, boiled or fried; bacon crispy or just cooked through with grain bread and a little something on the side.

But before you get to the cooked part, you start with fresh fruit or fruit something and Fred's homemade yoghurt.

Yes, the jams are homemade, the coffee freshly brewed and there is a large selection of teas.

Dining in Queenstown

Queenstown offers an amazing selection of restaurants from fine dining to cafes. We know most of them and can help you make a decision. For several years, Fred (writer) and Michele (photographer), had a weekly restaurant review column and we definitely have our favourites.

Fred is a certified wine evaluator and will happily share his knowledge about New Zealand's most southern and spectacular wine growing region.

We have an interesting and mostly Central Otago wine cellar. Spirits and beer are also on offer.
